A Relação do HPV com o Desenvolvimento do Câncer de Orofaringe no Brasil

Resumo

A Relação do HPV com o desenvolvimento do câncer de orofaringe no Brasil, busca explorar a relação entre o papilomavírus humano (HPV) e o câncer de orofaringe no contexto brasileiro. Observando a importância sobre o assunto que este trabalho teve como principal objetivo analisar a relação entre a infecção por HPV e o desenvolvimento do câncer de orofaringe no Brasil. A pesquisa baseou-se em uma revisão integrativa da literatura, selecionando artigos, livros e monografias entre os anos de 2015 a 2024, com análise focada em estudos observacionais e ensaios clínicos, utilizando as seguintes bases de dados: National Library of Medicine (PubMed), Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) e Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO). Um total de 789 obras foram identificadas, e distribuídas entre as plataformas digitais disponíveis. Os resultados mostraram que a relação entre o HPV e o câncer de orofaringe no Brasil revela tendências importantes, tanto no aumento da prevalência da doença quanto nas implicações clínicas e sociais associadas. O crescimento dos casos de carcinomas de orofaringe induzidos pelo HPV, especialmente entre jovens, reflete uma transição epidemiológica significativa, destacando o vírus como um fator etiológico preponderante. Além disso, pacientes HPV-positivos apresentam prognósticos mais favoráveis, com melhores taxas de sobrevida, indicando que o status de HPV deve ser considerado no manejo e no tratamento da doença.
