Respect for Human and Animal Rights:

        The Brazilian Journal of Biological Sciences - BJBS is committed to promoting scientific research that fully respects human rights and animal welfare. All studies involving humans and animals must be conducted with ethics and integrity, complying with relevant national and international standards. When submitting an article to the journal, authors are required to adhere to the best ethical and legal practices in their research.

 

Ethics in Human Research

       - Informed Consent: Studies involving humans must obtain informed and voluntary consent from participants.

      - Confidentiality and Anonymity: Authors must ensure the confidentiality of participant data. If necessary, names and details that could identify participants must be protected, preserving their anonymity.

 

Ethics in Animal Research

        -Animal Welfare: Research involving animals must prioritize their welfare. Authors must describe the procedures adopted to minimize the stress, pain, and discomfort of animals.

        - Scientific Justification: Authors must present a clear scientific justification for the use of animals in their research, demonstrating the necessity and relevance of the studies.

 

Informed Consent and Voluntary Participation

       - Consent for Publication: When submitting an article, authors declare that all human participants provided informed consent to participate in the research, and that such consent includes the publication of the results.

       - Voluntary Participation: Authors affirm that the participation of humans and animals in their research was voluntary and that no participant was coerced or subjected to any form of pressure.

 

        By submitting an article to BJBS, authors agree to these ethical policies and commit to conducting research in accordance with the highest ethical and legal standards. Non-compliance with these guidelines may result in the rejection of the article or other appropriate measures, as judged by the editorial team of the journal.
