Author Guidelines
Dear Author,
When submitting the file containing your article for evaluation, we kindly ask you to carefully follow these instructions:
1. Close Reading and Compliance with Guidelines:
Please review the document carefully to ensure it falls within the scope of the Journal and meets the following criteria and standards:
- The article should not exceed 20 pages and must be presented in Word format;
- The number of authors should not exceed 8. If it does, please inform the editorial team;
- All manuscripts should be paginated starting from page 1;
- The article can be written in Portuguese, Spanish, or English, according to the authors' preference.
- Regardless of the chosen language, the article must include an abstract and keywords in all three languages.
2. Use of the Template:
The Brazilian Journal of Biological Sciences - BJBS provides a template for formatting articles, ensuring compliance with editorial requirements.
This template establishes predefined guidelines for the structure and style of the document, facilitating its organization and presentation. Additionally, it enhances the readability of the article, making it more understandable for reviewers.
By using the template, authors save time and effort as they do not need to worry about creating the document structure from scratch, allowing them to focus more on the content and quality of their work.
Please download the template and write your article within it to avoid formatting errors.
3. Abstract and Keywords: Include a brief summary of the text, with a maximum of 280 words, accompanied by 4 to 6 keywords.
4. Formatting According to ABNT:
Ensure that the formatting of the manuscript complies with the current ABNT standards.
5. Bibliographic References:
References should be presented alphabetically at the end of the text, following the current ABNT standards.
We appreciate your attention to the above guidelines and eagerly await your contribution to the BJBS.
